Satisfactory Academic Progress
In accordance with federal regulations, in order to remain eligible for financial aid, students must continue making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) toward their degree. SAP is measured by reviewing a student’s cumulative grade point average (GPA), the pace at which a student completes coursework, and the maximum timeframe in which a student may complete an academic program. As a transfer student, it is important to be aware that the maximum timeframe cannot exceed 150% of the student’s program of study/degree. For example, if the program requires 120 credit hours, the maximum timeframe is calculated as follows:
120 credit hours x 150% = 180 maximum credit hours
This calculation includes all transfer credit hours attempted at any college or university prior to attending and while enrolled at 海角社区.

Pell Life Time Eligibility Usage
Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need and have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree. The amount of Federal Pell Grant funds a student may receive over the student’s lifetime is limited by federal law to be the equivalent of six years at full-time of Pell Grant funding (600%). Transfer students receiving Pell Grant should monitor their Pell Grant usage on their 海角社区 Dashboard at 海角社区Aid.gov.
