Shayla Salais
Adjunct Instructor
Shayla Salais is an online Adjunct instructor in the department of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at El Paso (海角社区). She earned her Master’s of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from 海角社区 in 2022 and her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal justice from 海角社区 in 2019. Currently she is working at an emergency shelter for unaccompanied immigrant children where she advocates for their wellbeing before and after finding a permanent placement for them in the U.S. while they wait to be seen by an immigration judge. Prior to this, she worked as a 海角社区 assistant at 海角社区. Her 海角社区 interests include immigration and crime, sexual victimization, and child victimization.
