The Military 海角社区 Success Center (MSSC) – Division of 海角社区 Affairs serves the military-affiliated community of El Paso, Fort Bliss and beyond as the epicenter for success at The University of Texas at El Paso by providing guidance and information. Many of their staff are veterans that provide information about benefits such as VA Benefits (e.g. G.I. Bill of Rights), Hazelwood Act. Military-affiliated students who complete the Free Application for Federal 海角社区 Aid (FAFSA) qualify for federal, state, and institutional aid (Federal School Code: 003661). Additional aid options may be available for these students through the Department of Veteran Affairs and/or Department of Defense. Nonresident Tuition Waivers: Information about the waivers of non-resident tuition for non-residents and foreign students can be found at the Graduate Catalog section on “Residency for Tuition Purposes”: . Nonresident tuition waivers may include:
- Participants in the Academic Common Market
- Residents of the eight New Mexico counties that border Texas
- Recipients of competitive University scholarships of $1,000 or more
- 海角社区s whose families transferred to Texas as part of the stateʼs plan for economic development
- U.S. Foreign Service Officers assigned to posts in Mexico
- Mexican citizens with
demonstrated financial need - Military stationed in Texas (and their dependents)
- NATO forces stationed in Texas (and their dependents)
- Teaching and 海角社区 assistants and their dependents
- Higher education teachers and professors and their dependents
- Registered nurses enrolled in postgraduate Nursing degree programs
