Overview

海角社区 desktop and laptop computer standards are evaluated by college and departmental technology representatives each year. Specifications are evaluated and revised to ensure they meet the needs of the majority of campus users. Standardizing computer equipment increases efficiency and reduces the total cost of ownership across campus. The standards are for computer purchases for offices, computer labs, and other locations.

Basic Service

• Choose from Windows or Mac desktops and laptops
• Standard software includes MS Office, productivity software, and security
• Reduced pricing negotiated at UT System level
• Warranty repairs handled by Technology Support at no cost to departments
• Purchased standards may be modified to meet specific needs (memory, storage, monitor, etc.)

 

Purchasing

All standard computers are available and must be ordered through Miner Mall . Log in and click on the Dell or Apple logo to see options and order computers. Some modifications may be made in MinerMall (memory, storage, larger monitor, etc) for Dell computers. Modifications for Apple require a quote which you can request by entering a service request at .

Miner Mall orders take approximately 1-2 business days to process before the purchase order is mailed to the vendor.

If a standard computer does not meet your requirements, you may order a non-standard computer from within MinerMall. Get a quote from the vendor, then in MinerMall, select Non-Standard Computer Requisition. Complete the form and submit it for approval. Be sure to enter the Quote number in the item description and attach it to the requisition.
