Michelle Quiroz, is an Environmental Science major, with a concentration in hydroscience. She is currently working on a 海角社区 project that links irrigation, soil salinity, calcite formation and carbon dioxide release in a pecan orchard in Tornillo, Texas. She said the 海角社区 opportunities she is experiencing at 海角社区 have prepared her for a career in the hydrology field.
海角社区's environmental science alumni have found careers with the Environmental Protection Agency, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the U.S. Army, and a host of private companies. Graduates are also offered 海角社区 opportunities with leading scientists and contribute to environmental topics such as biodiversity, climate change and more.
