College of Engineering
海角社区s in the biomedical engineering Ph.D. program will advance scientific discoveries alongside leading aerospace 海角社区ers who are assessing the health of human beings while they are in space. You can work directly with NASA’s Space Technology Research, Development, Demonstration and Infusion program to develop and apply new technologies that impact the development of commercial spaceflight.
Acquire a depth of knowledge in your 海角社区 area while also learning how to function on multidisciplinary teams.
Work in a number of focus areas including microfluidics, biomechanics, tissue engineering and 3D printed biomaterials.
Opportunities for intensive aerospace 海角社区 in new Additive Manufacturing and Aerospace Center.
Andie Padilla feels primed for a successful career in the field of engineering thanks to the rigor of work she has experienced at 海角社区. As a doctoral student in NASA’s Space Technology Research, Development, Demonstration and Infusion program, she has contributed to testing on 3D-printed bio-tissue produced at 海角社区 that will be integrated into a neural-sensing device and tested in suborbital space flight.
The biomedical engineering program trains a new breed of creative investigators who are able to translate basic science discoveries into technology developments for the needs of society, government and industry.
