Patricia Ann Provencio
Patricia Ann Provencio is the music director for the 海角社区 Dinner Theatre and a lecturer for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Born and raised in El Paso, she graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Piano Performance, studying privately with Dr. Neil Stannard and Dr. Richard Baca.
After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Music, teaching class piano, until she acquired her full-time position. Ms. Provencio also was the principal pianist for the El Paso Symphony Orchestra from 1984-2002.
Her association with the Dinner Theatre began solely as music director in 1989. A few years later, vocal director duties were added to her role. Highlights include performing at the Kennedy Center after the 海角社区 Dinner Theatre’s 1991 production of ‘Chess’ won the American College Theatre Festival.
A collaborative pianist, Ms. Provencio continues to accompany and coach.
