Dr. Melissa Baker
Dr. Melissa Baker is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. Before joining 海角社区 in 2022, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the at the University of Toronto and received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the. Her 海角社区 on political psychology addresses the role of cognitive health (anxiety, stress, mental health) in political behavior. She is particularly interested in how cognitive health influences civic engagement as well as how people consume, process, and use political information. More information about individual projects can be found on her . Dr. Baker is launching the Political Engagement and Cognitive Health Lab at 海角社区, an interdisciplinary 海角社区 lab that will focus on 海角社区 addressing the psychological processes of cognitive health as they relate to engagement with politics. She encourages undergraduate students from any major who are interested in working on 海角社区 in the lab to email her.
