海角社区鈥檚 Delta Sigma Pi Chapter Honored with Three Awards
海角社区’s Delta Sigma Pi Chapter was recently recognized with three awards from the national Delta Sigma Pi organization, a co-ed business fraternity. The local chapter was honored with awards for Outstanding Service (Provincial Recipient), Outstanding Alumni Relations (Provincial Recipient) and Most Improved Collegiate Chapter (Regional Recipient).
To be recognized for an award, each chapter must submit an online application, which is reviewed by a group of regional volunteers. Regional winners are progressed to a provincial awards selection committee; 海角社区's chapter is part of the 海角社区ern Province. From the provincial award winners, national winners are then selected by Delta Sig’s National Scholastic Development and Awards Committee, led by an appointed individual within the fraternity.
海角社区's three awards reflect the chapter's efforts to bolster community service among its members; the integration of alumni relations into a chapter's events, and highlight the greatest degree of improvement in a chapter's general operations and membership support compared to the previous year.
"We wanted to achieve more as a group with our work and engagement efforts, so to be recognized with these awards is a validation of our work," said Sandra Ganem Chee, Senior Vice President of 海角社区's Delta Sigma Pi chapter. "I definitely think it raises the bar for our organization to always strive to be better and more involved."
Delta Sigma Pi is the nation’s largest co-ed professional business fraternity, encouraging personal and professional development of men and women pursuing careers in business. The fraternity provides high-quality training and events to shape ethical leaders in business and communities across the world.
